There is always plenty of wildlife to see on this tour such as black bears, eagles, harbour seals, sealions and much more. You will see historic old pre-wartime houses, big steal fishing boats and old wooden trollers, telling the story of this quaint fishing village.

Broken Group Islands – full day tour - The tour starts off with an exciting half hour ride by zodiac in the early morning with our kayaks, guide and gourmet picnic lunch. On one of the 100 islands in the park amongst the quiet coves and sheltered bays our guide prepares everyone for a day of adventure. Kayaks are set up for each person, seats adjusted, pedals adjusted. Lessons are given and safety concerns and procedures are explained. As the day progresses, wildlife such as eagles, shore birds, sea lions, seals, mink, river otters, and possibly whales will be sighted. Barkley Sound – full day tour - Your day will be filled with ocean experiences exploring Islands and Beaches, with time to enjoy the delicious buffet style lunch we provide for you. From Toquart Bay we launch our kayaks to explore the many islands of Barkley Sound. We paddle through the protected bays and quiet coves of the Stopper Islands and search out the fascinating and colourful intertidal life such as seastars and anenomies, and enjoy the sea lions, whales, seals, and the many eagles and shorebirds that inhabit the area. Multi-day trips through the Broken group and Deer Group Islands in Barkley Sound exploring the intricate waterways, weaving your way through the 100 islands and tiny islets of the park. Quiet coves, white sandy beaches or open ocean swells, we guide the tour to suit the ability of the group. Beach-combing, hiking, tide pool exploring, all add to the fun and adventure of your trip. Sea caves, ancient aboriginal fish traps, sea sculpted rock formations, all await your discovery.

Kayaking in Clayoquot

Tofino is the perfect launching place to explore Clayoquot Sounds thousands of acres of rugged coastline, secluded coves and white sand beaches.

Kayaking tours range from a short paddle around Tofino harbor and Meares Island to multi-day trips through the inner and outer waters of Clayoquot Sound.

Clayoquot Explorer - This is a very beautiful, relaxed paddle to the island from Tofino. Strolling along the Big Tree Trail you you learn about rainforest ecology as you view some of the largest and oldest Western Red Cedar Trees in North America.

Islands – move through the protected waters of Tofino harbour and nearby inlets, from Tofino you paddle toward the outer-coast islands. Stories of 'Clayoquot Island characters,' and early evening wildlife sightings often highlight this program. This can be a "Sunriser" or "Sundowner" scheduled to best accommodate tidal changes.

6 Day kayak tour - Paddle through wild and wide open Clayoquot Sound. Explore the clean, clear waters and camp on expansive white sand beaches.
